1. Notice that for both the salt and light metaphor, there is no neutral state: either it is salty or not, either the light is seen or not. What does this metaphor say about a Christian’s life?
2. In life, what happens when a light is shining (effects, reactions, etc)? In this passage, what happens when the light of a Christian is shining?
