Passage: 1 Peter 5:5-10

Reflection Questions:
1. The word “clothe” in Greek means “wrap yourselves” or “gird yourselves.” It is derived from the name for the apron which was worn by salves when working. In verses 5-6, who are the three groups that Peter asks his readers to be submissive or humbled toward?
2. In verse 9, when facing the devil, what are we to do? Are the prescribed actions active or passive? According to verse 10, what are we waiting for as we resist the devil?
