Passage: 1 Samuel 15:1-23
Reflection Questions:
1. Observe and compare the progression in Saul’s response to Samuel’s rebuke: What did Saul said to Samuel upon his arrival (v. 13)? To Samuel’s first rebuke (vv. 14-15)? To the second rebuke (vv. 17-21)? To the third rebuke (vv. 22-25)? What does this say about Saul’s attitude toward his own action and toward God’s instruction?
2. What do you think prompted Saul to disobey God in the first place?
3. If you were only concerned with seeking God’s glory and not your own, how would your life be different at home? At work? At school?
