At the end of the first parable, the moral of the story is that “everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Notice that this is a comparison between present status and future status. In what ways does this statement urge you to adjust your view about the temporal?
2. If you threw a party for the “poor,” “crippled,” “lame,” and “blind” in your world, who would you invite? How might you do this?
