COMBINED THANKSGIVING WORSHIP

Combined Thanksgiving Worship is scheduled on November 21. Our theme is: Give Thanks in All Circumstances.  Program starts @ 10am. We will be using the Marina Middle School facilities this year (3500 Fillmore Street.) The location is easily accessible from Chinatown via the No.30 Stockton bus and there will be ample parking in the yard. Come early! There is refreshment from 9:15-9:45 a.m. before the worship service. There are flyers available in the office for you to invite families & friends.

GENERAL FUND PLEDGE

11/14 is Pledge Sunday. 2011 total church expenses are projected to increase 5% . Our current year actual pledges through September have been running 6% below budget.  The economic environment continues to be tough and some members have lost jobs.  Please keep this in mind as you prayerfully consider your pledge amount for 2011.  We trust that God is faithful and will provide for all our needs.

There is a 3-days Adult Education sessions on 10/2, 10/16, 10/30 regarding the overview of Old Testament; New Testament and Christian Theology for Lay people. The Lord’s Grace Christian Church in Mt. View has organized 3 workshops: The Witness; The Acts and The Arts of Corporate Worship. Dr. Timothy Ralston from Dallas Theological Seminary is the Speaker. Date: Friday, 9/24, 8-10 pm and Saturday, 9/25, 4-6pm and 7-9pm. The workshops will be conducted in English and translated into Mandarin on 9/24 and Cantonese on 9/25.
