LIFE BEHIND THE STARS, 9/6

Chinese Christian Mission will host an Evangelistic event on Saturday 9/6 in Nourse Theater of San Francisco (275 Hayes St.). Admission fees: $12/ticket. Tickets for 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. performances tickets are available in the church office. For details, please refer to the poster in the patio.

Smart Kid and After-School Programs have half-time positions opened. All applicant needs to be college and above. If you are interested, pick up an application form from the church office.

2014 JR. HIGH DAY CAMP, 8/4-8/10

The annual fun filled Cumberland Day Camp is coming to you this August 4th to 10th. All Middle School students (ages 11-14) are welcome to join us for a whole week of activities including Six-Flags Discovery Kingdom, bowling, field trips, music, Bible learning, and much more. The registration fee is $79, application forms are available in the Church office. We look forward to having an amazing week with you!

CUMBERLAND CHINESE SCHOOL FALL SEMESTER, 8/9

Chinese School will start to accept registration enrollment for Fall Semester. New school year will start August 9. Regular Tuition fee: $173; For 1st-9th grade, there is a one time $6 for new books and one time registration fee for new student is: $20 (registration fee will be waived for children/grandchildren of our Church members). Please come to Church office for inquiry and registration.

8TH ANNUAL CCHC SHORT-TERM MISSION TRAINING, 8/13-17

ADULT TEACHERS TRAINING SERIES ALREADY STARTED 6/22

Adult teacher training with Dr. Dora Wang began on 622 in the basement social hall from 1:30-5:30pm and will continue for 6 consecutive Sundays except for 7/27 (no class). The final session will be 8/3. For last minute sign ups, please consult with Dora or one of the Elders.

FUNDRAISING FOR SHORT TERM MISSION

GuangXi English Camp has 12 brothers and sisters participated in GuangXi English Camp, 7/10-20. The purpose is to teach middle and high school students English. We would need your prayer and financial supports. As of today, we still need to raise $4,000 more to reach our fundraising goal. The Choctaw team will be returning to McGee Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma from 7/16-26. Activities planned include a weekend youth retreat, children’s VBS, and an adult bible study. If you would like to support these STM, please write your tax-deductible donation check to Cumberland Church (or CPCC) and put “China STM”...

DC SUNDAY WORSHIP, 8/31

Due to the Retreat, there will be no Cantonese Worship in DC Campus on 8/31, but you could join the English Worship at 11:15am. There will be no Children Sunday School and Worship on that day, but Nursery will start at 11am

TV SERIES: FACING SEXUAL TEMPTATION

A Cantonese Christian TV Series on how to handle sexual temptation will be broadcasted on Creation TV (Channel 28.1 & 1.8) starting last Saturday at 11 p.m. The series will repeat on Wednesday at 11:30pm.
